Bella Bella

With a multicultural mix of musicians hailing from both the East and West Coasts, Bella Bella's blend of hard hitting guitars and horns, gospel-dance beats, groove-ridden keys and bass lines, and soulful lyricism gives a nod to their varied influences and a testament to how they insist on shifting the face of rock n' roll – just a little bit.

"The music stems from our various cultural backgrounds and musical loves," says the Nigerian-raised lead singer, Sayo. "On one end you'll hear some soulful, gospel-struck, Stevie Wonder-like horns and on the other end you'll have the hardest hitting guitars wrung from the belly of Led Zeppelin."

Combining years of musical experience, Bella Bella members have opened up for major recording artists Brandi Carlisle and Mandy Moore, and have played popular venues and events around the country. The band is bound to continue to spread their energetic and riotous live show as far as it would travel

"Bella Bella means 'Beautiful, Beautiful' and we can only strive to make our music embody the penultimate of that phrase," says pianist, Steve. A set filled with punchy dance-flavored hits like "Packages" and soul-rocking "Bayou" leaves no question as to why Bella Bella is soon to become one of the Bay Area's signature bands.
